These Terms and Conditions govern your use of the MyCommunityX platform operated by Pineroot Technologies Private Limited. Please read these Terms carefully before using the Platform. These Terms create a binding legal agreement between you and Pineroot Technologies Private Limited.
1. Acceptance of Terms
By downloading, installing, registering, or using the MyCommunityX platform ("Platform"), you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Platform.
These Terms apply to all users including Society Admins, Residents, Guards, and Staff/Workers.
2. Platform Usage
MyCommunityX is a society management SaaS platform designed for use by authorized members of registered gated communities. You agree to:
Use the Platform only for its intended purposes
Provide accurate information during registration
Maintain the confidentiality of your login credentials
Not share your account with unauthorized individuals
Not attempt to reverse engineer, hack, or exploit the Platform
Comply with all applicable laws and regulations while using the Platform
3. User Roles and Responsibilities
Society Admins are responsible for:
Accurate setup of society configuration, unit data, and member registration
Managing and overseeing staff, guard, and vendor access
Ensuring all financial data entered is accurate and compliant
Moderating community content and resolving escalated complaints
Residents are responsible for:
Providing accurate unit and personal information
Responsible use of visitor, delivery, and amenity features
Maintaining respectful conduct in community chat and forums
Timely payment of maintenance dues
Guards are responsible for:
Accurate logging of all visitor entries, deliveries, and incidents
Verifying QR codes and identities before granting access
Following the society's security protocols via the Platform
Reporting emergencies promptly through the Platform
Staff/Workers are responsible for:
Honest recording of attendance and task progress
Maintaining professionalism while location tracking is active
Completing assigned tasks within the agreed timeframe
4. Society Administrator Responsibility
The Society Admin who registers the society on MyCommunityX assumes full administrative responsibility for:
The accuracy of all society data, resident records, and financial entries
Compliance with local housing society regulations and laws
Proper authorization of all users added to the society
Appropriate use of the Platform for lawful society management purposes
Pineroot Technologies Private Limited is not liable for decisions made by Society Admins or for data entered inaccurately into the Platform.
5. Payments and Billing
Subscription Fees: MyCommunityX is a subscription-based SaaS product. Subscription pricing, payment terms, and applicable taxes will be communicated at the time of onboarding.
Maintenance Collections: The Platform facilitates maintenance billing and collection tracking. Pineroot Technologies Private Limited is not a payment gateway and does not hold resident funds. All financial transactions are between the society and its residents.
Refunds: Subscription fee refund policies are governed by the specific agreement signed during onboarding. Residents' maintenance payments are solely between the resident and the society management.
6. Content and Uploads
Users may upload documents, photos, notices, and other content to the Platform. You agree that:
Uploaded content is lawful and does not violate third-party rights
You will not upload defamatory, obscene, or harassing content
Society documents and notices are accurate to the best of your knowledge
Inappropriate content may be removed and accounts may be suspended
Pineroot Technologies Private Limited reserves the right to remove content that violates these Terms without prior notice.
7. Emergency Features and Disclaimer
The emergency SOS and alert features in MyCommunityX are operational tools designed to assist society security workflows. IMPORTANT DISCLAIMER:
The Platform is NOT a substitute for official emergency services (Police, Ambulance, Fire Brigade)
Always contact official emergency services (100, 108, 101) for life-threatening situations
Pineroot Technologies Private Limited is not liable for response times, outcomes, or failures of in-app emergency workflows
Society management is responsible for establishing their own emergency response protocols
Technology malfunctions, network outages, or device failures may affect emergency features
8. Data Privacy
Your use of the Platform is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference. By using the Platform, you consent to the data practices described in the Privacy Policy.
9. Intellectual Property
All content, features, code, design, and technology within the MyCommunityX Platform are the exclusive property of Pineroot Technologies Private Limited. You may not copy, reproduce, modify, distribute, or create derivative works based on the Platform without written permission.
User-generated content remains the property of the respective users, with a limited license granted to Pineroot Technologies Private Limited to operate and display such content within the Platform.
10. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Pineroot Technologies Private Limited shall not be liable for:
Indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from Platform use
Losses resulting from unauthorized access to user accounts
Service interruptions due to maintenance, technical failures, or force majeure events
Actions or decisions made by society admins, guards, or other users
Third-party service failures (including Firebase, Google Cloud, or payment gateways)
Security incidents resulting from user negligence (e.g., sharing credentials)
Our total liability in any circumstance shall not exceed the subscription fees paid in the preceding 3 months.
11. Account Suspension and Termination
Pineroot Technologies Private Limited reserves the right to suspend or terminate accounts that:
Violate these Terms or applicable laws
Engage in fraudulent, abusive, or harmful activities
Fail to pay subscription fees after the grace period
Are involved in legal disputes related to Platform misuse
Users may terminate their account by contacting support. Data deletion follows the timeline described in the Privacy Policy.
12. Modifications to Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via in-app notification or email at least 14 days before taking effect. Continued use after that date constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
13. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India. Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in [registered city of Pineroot Technologies Private Limited].
